A friend who cared and listened,
Who stuck by me thru thick and thin,
Who kept me sane when life got bad
Who inspired me to be strong
and care less about what others would say.

A friend who proved that simplicity is real beauty,
Who did wonders with just a wink and a smile,
Who warmed hearts with her sound words and tears
Who touched lives in her most unconditional ways.
This is for a friend I intended to keep
But whom I said my goodbyes too.
